    Biography :

Tony DeNunzio was 23 and John Terpko 17 when the Jeannette natives started to make music together in August 1953 as the Tune-Tailors, a vocal and instrumental group, with Aldo Caporosa & Michael J. Casario.  They play locally and there were the times during the 1950s when the group was offered a nearly yearlong touring contract, as well as the chance to record for Columbia records, but DeNunzio was head of a Jeannette bank at the time, and believed he couldn't leave his job and family for so long.

    The Tune Tailors

Opportunity knocked again when the band was offered the chance to play sets between Las Vegas performances at the Stardust Casino by legendary band leader Louis Prima and his then-wife, Keely Smith. But, again, local commitments kept the band in Jeannette. The Tune Tailors performed in the Pittsburgh Area, and in 1958 recorded « Beverly » b/w « My First Love « for Century Records in Pittsburgh owned by Eddie Moschetti. Later The Tune tailors came the Men About Town, the Selections and my Ukrainian Boys.
