    Biography :

Eugene Maye from Los Angeles was a member of his brother's group, Arthur Lee Maye and The Crowns. He also was a member of Richard Berry and the Pharaohs, he worked with the Sharmettes about 6 or 7 months, teaching them songs, and polishing up their harmony. In 1962 The Crowns and the Pharaohs got together and formed a group called the Terrans. The members were Everine McBride (Harris), who was married to Robert Harris at the time, and Robert was also a member of the group, Godoy Colbert, Johnny Coleman, Charles Colbert and Gene Maye.  They cut "Moonrise" and "Soap Soap" who came out on Graham. "Moonrise" charted in the lower depths on both R&B radio, KGFJ and rock radio KRLA in May 1963. There were 2 pressings of "Moonrise" released on Graham # 801 (owned by Henry Graham), both in March 1963. On the 2nd pressing, the title of the flip side was changed to "Soap 'N' Water."
