    Biography :

The members got together in 1956 in the Long Island City, New York, projects. They were around fourteen or fifteen years old at the time. Around 1957, Walker teamed with Ronald and Robert Coleman along with John Blount to for the Delroys.  The group signed with Apollo Records and in 1957 recorded their biggest record, "Bermuda Shorts." After "Bermuda Shorts," Robert Taylor replaced John Blount, who was discouraged.

Taylor, Walker, and the Coleman brothers recorded "Wise Old Owl" for the Sparkell label, featuring Taylor on lead. In 1961 following "Wise Old Owl," the group disbanded due to military obligations . Ron Coleman joined up with lead Ray Pain, 2d tenor Norman Baquie, and baritone Cliff Davis to record Love Me Tenderly/Pleasing You on the Carol label.

In 1964 Ron once again joined up with Reggie Walker and Walter Pope and recorded one tune, "Alimony," for Al Browne's Moon label. In 1982, brothers Ron and Robert Coleman rejoined Reggie Walker to re-form the Delroys for revival appearances.
