    Biography :

    Vocal group from Brooklyn The V Classics  were composed by John Hernandez (Lead), Carmine George (Bass), Rich Nardone (Baritone),Paulie Poveromo (Second Tenor) and Bill George (Tenor). The Members of the group come from Myrtle Avenue, only Paul Poveromo came from 106 Carlton Avenue.

    Paul Poveromo, Paulie’s father was their manager & Pete Zanfardino, Paul’s uncle  made the arrangements. The V Classics recorded "My Imagination" and "Come on Baby" at the ARC records studio owned by Ed Dambach in Elisabeth, New Jersey. Released On Arc 4454 in 1960, the single Reissued in 1961 on "A" Records (a subsidiary of Arc) as by The Five Classics.

    The original group had disbanded , and Paul Poveromo needed to cover this tune , and record two other tunes he owned the sound track. Paul Poveromo Managed another group, the Suburbans. The group has already recorded two singles on Port Records "Alphabet Of Love" b/w "Sweet Diane Cha Cha" and Kip Records "Little Bird" b/w "King Of Broken Hearts".

    The Suburbans auditioned at Paul's house with his Son Paulie and recorded "Mississippi Mud" b/w "Love Me". The group consisted of John Cole (Lead), Dominic Duval, Al, Mickey and Phil. The single  was released on Flamingo records. The same year The single was re-released on Pova records as The Five Classics.
