    Biography :

    The Ladders were a 1950s New York City rhythm and blues and doo wop vocal group. The line up comprised Johnny Jackson (lead), Herb Jennings (first tenor), Irvin Jones (second tenor), Ron Clark (baritone), and Douglas Jackson (bass). The Ladders lived on 115th Street in Manhattan, in the same apartment building as the Bopchords. The Ladders cut only two discs, both for Danny Robinson's labels — Holiday and Vest, the label named after his wife, Vesta.
