1959 - Wa-Chi-Bam-Ba / Kalahari (Prince 1206)
The Cadillacs (Bill Lindsay, Waldo Champen, Bobby Spencer and James Bailey) released a single on Josie in 1957, ‚"My Girlfriend‚" (820). A year later, Champ left the Cadillacs and with Douglas Ferrer, George Rosa, Daniel Levy and Ed Jordan formed the Five Delights. They recorded ‚"There‚"ll Be No Goodbye‚" on Newport 7002.
The masters were sold to United Artists who released it on Unart 7002 in 1958. There was little action, and George and Douglas left the group to be replaced by Raymond Figuora and Ed Stokes.
They had a release, in March 1959, on the Prince label (under the embarrassing name of the Watusi Warriors): "Wa-Chi-Bam-Ba," backed with "Kalahari."
