    Biography :

Robert "Bob" Shad was an American record producer and record label owner. Shad formed the Time label in the mid-to-late 1950s and besides the jazz and cocktail pop albums, he had hits with The Bell Notes, and on his Shad label, The Knockouts. Shad also formed the Brent label (primarily for West Coast signings) and had hits with Skip & Flip, The Chevrons and Bertha Tillman.

Though they only recorded two sides for Shad's Time Label, both are indeed fabulous. They came from Cleveland, Ohio with members Otis Carter, Harvey Hall, David McPhatter, Richard Fisher and Ernest Smith. "No More Tears" and "Lonely Lover" were done at Capitol Studios on 4 December 1959, and issued as Time 1023 in early 1960.
