Discography :1961 - I Want You / Mambo Daddy (Music Makers 101)
Biography :The Celebrities were a racially mixed group from the Bronx composed by Jo Jo (Lead) , Douglas Rodriguez, Billy, Perfly and another guy. "I Want You " b/w Mambo Daddy" was recorded in 1961 by the group at Musicmakers Studios W.57th St. in New York with King Curtis's Band who did a fabulous solo on his Sax with "Mambo Daddy" on the B side. "I want You" charted in 1961 at #31 on the WABC Swinging Sound Survey April 18, 1961.

The same year, Douglas Rodriguez and his new group , The Rialtos with Hector Ruiz, Fred Campos, Francisco Zubillaca and Patrick Gaul recorded again at Musicmakers Studios with King Curtis's Band the tunes "It Hurts" and "Let Me In" . In 1966 Douglas Rodriguez became a member of the The Latin Souls with Frank Ruiz,Anthony Florez, & Sammy Marrero.
