    Biography :

Vocal group from New York composed by Jerry Hayward (who got separate billing on the first single), Robert Leak, James McCauthin, David Cox, and Herbie Hancock (not the jazz-rock crossover superstar). The Everglades recorded two early 1960's singles for the Sue label subsidiary imprint Symbol, "Shimmy Shimmy Shimmy Sherry" b/w "You Stole My Heart Away" (both written or co-written by Phil Medley, the latter with James Stewart Jr. of the Ravens), and "Limbo Lucy" b/w "Make A Bulldog Hug A Mule." The two singles produced by Phil Medley. The following year a new production of Phil Medley was released "S.O.S." b/w "Come On" on the Tiny Glade label as Jerry Heyward (with a "e") & The Everglades.
