Bruce Bruno were a New Rochelle High School Student who live at 101 Storer Avenue. Dion remembered Bruce Bruno as "The Elvis of the neighborhood" and might have helped him get on roulette records (and dion's father is credited with co-writing "Dear Joanne"). Bruce Bruno recorded Dear Joanne with a legendary Black vocal Group, the Cadillacs. Incidentally, the few who bought "Dear Joanne" as a 45 rpm single also bought the original version of "Venus in Blue Jeans" on the B side. Bruce has appeared at the Round Table night club in New York City and at the RKO Proctor theatre in Brooklyn in Bobby Rydell's show.

Later he was approached by fellow Roulette act Ronnie Hawkins to sing ballads in Hawkins's Rockabilly act. Bruno joined Hawkins in canada, and when Hawkins's group quit, Bruno left with them. As the Levon Helm Sextet or Levon and the Hawks, they gigged in Canada and New York, But Bruno left after they were fire from the Peppermint Lounge. The Hawks went on to become the band, while Bruno replace Eddie Brigati in the Rascals for a short time. He became an instructor at New Rochelle High School in New York.Songs :
