Biography :

The Citrones were a four man vocal & instrumental group from Ithaca composed by Marty O'Neil, Jack Shelton, Tim Rogers and Mitch Bucci, The Citrones have played many college dates between one year, notably at Syracuse, Cornell, Dartmouth and Auburn.  In mid-1962, they entered the studio & backed singer Freddy Powell on "Faded Pictures" and "Flip To The Twist" released by Sheraton Records.

Sheraton Records, Inc., headed by Ray Meinberg in New Milford, N.J. (on Madison Avenue) was essentially a record distributor. Its Sheraton label was short-lived (only 5 releases from February to June 1962).Ray Meinberg's career is not the easier to follow, as he moved from label to label in short succession. He was previously sales manager with National, Unique, Prestige, Top Rank, Jaro , MGM, Cub and more.

Biography :

Group from Ganesha high school, Pomona (California), consisted of Shirlee Brooks, Jacqueline Scruggs at the Piano, Rosemary Reeves, Beverly Simmons & Novella Simmons. The Shondells had four releases, resulting from two recording sessions in 1962.

  

"My Love", "Don't Cry My Soldier Boy" (King 5597) and "Wonderful One", "I Gotta Tell It" (King 5597) are from group's first session in In January 1962. "Muscle Bound" "Special Delivery" (King 5705) and "Watussi, One More Time",  "Ooo, Sometimes" (King 5755) were from their session in November 1962.
