The Cozytones aka The Cosytones

Windsor Jackson King was a member of the Royal Sons gospel group that evolved into the secular "5" Royales, but King's earliest secular group was the Cosytones. Later, Windsor Jackson King fronted The Cashmeres from Brooklyn who recorded on Lake, Laurie & Josie Records. Although originally from North Carolina, King met the other Cashmeres when he was a night barman in a Flatbush, Brooklyn watering hole called Queenie's Bar. He also was with the Cashelles that recorded for Decca in 1963. His final group was when he fronted a girl group on Aldo in 1962 credited to King & Sharpettes.
